The US President Donald Trump formally recognised Jerusalem as the capital of Israel on Wednesday in a live televised address from Washington D.C. and started the process of moving the US Embassy from Tel Aviv.

“It is time to officially recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.” Trump said during a news conference at the White House.
President Trump stated “Today, I am delivering. I have judged this course of action to be in the best interests of the United States of America and the pursuit of peace between Israel and the Palestinians.
Trump said his announcement was the “beginning of a new approach to conflict between Israel and the Palestinians.”
Press conference was ended after Trump signed agreement recognising Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
