CHP's Kılıçdaroğlu walks to Justice Ministry

Breaking News Turkey

Turkey’s main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu walked to the country’s Justice Ministry after his group meeting in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

Following the closed-door meeting, which lasted for about 5 minutes, Kılıçdaroğlu walked to the Ministry of Justice with some members of the parliaments of his party.

Kılıçdaroğlu says he is ‘very angry’

Kılıçdaroğlu said in front of the building of the Ministry that he was “very angry” because of the allegations of abuse against a 6-year-old child.

“When the issue is raised in the parliament, the Minister of Family makes a statement; she says, ‘We have known this issue for two years, not two days, not two months.’ If you have known this issue for two years, what did you do for two years,” he said.

The CHP’s leader claimed that the Justice Ministry has remained “silent” on the issue in question.

Stating that Kılıçdaroğlu did not request a meeting appointment, Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ said, “If he had asked for an appointment, I would have given him an appointment. If he had come without an appointment, I would have met him.”
