Breaking News Turkey with agencies

The price of Türkiye’s first indigenous car was unveiled as more than $50,000.

“Togg T10X, which will be pre-ordered on the Trumore digital platform and Togg website on March 16-27, will have a price tag starting from TL953,000 (over $50,000),” announced Togg.

The first model to go on sale will be a C-segment SUV. Mass production has continued since October 29 at the production base in the Gemlik district of Bursa province.

Nearly 20,000 cars will be produced by the end of the year. The goal is to deliver one million vehicles by 2030.

Trugo, Togg’s domestically produced charging station, will be spread nationwide.

Key features of Togg

The electric car will have two different horsepower options — 200 hp and 400 hp. It was designed by Türkiye’s Automobile Joint Venture Group, also known as Togg, in 18 months.

The car will be able to do a 0-100 km/hour sprint in 7.6 seconds and 4.8 seconds, respectively, based on its engine type. Its two models will have the 300 and 500 km range capacity.

The car will be connected to the internet, and its system will run online updates. With one of the most extended wheelbases of its type, it will maximize spaciousness and comfort.

Its Lithium-ion battery developed by Togg completely can be charged up to 80% in less than 30 minutes. The car conforms to the standards of the European New Car Assessment Programme’s five-star rating system.

Holographic assistant technology

It will provide holographic assistant technology with a three-dimensional display and augmented reality technologies. Togg will produce five different models — SUV, sedan, c-hatchback, b-SUV, and b-MPV — until 2030 and own their intellectual and industrial property rights.

Togg’s electric vehicle platform, designed by TOGG engineers completely for all five models, is original and patented. The platform will provide a structure for maximum efficiency, comfort, durability, and safety.

The government supports the indigenous car with tax discounts and incentives.
