The first indigenous long-range radar produced in Türkiye called ERALP will enter the country’s defense inventory in the near future.

Turkish defense giant ASELSAN developed the radar system under the direction of the Presidency of Defense Industries, in line with the needs of the Air Force Command.

Capability to detect targets from long distances

ERALP is capable of detecting and tracking all air targets from long distances thanks to its next-generation radar algorithms and electronic beam steering capability.

Compared to its peers, the system stands out in its friend-enemy recognition subsystem with active beam guidance.

It already successfully conducted various tests, carrying out target detection tests at greater distances.

Istanbul will host the 16th International Defense Industry Fair on 25-28 July, in which ASELSAN will showcase long-range radar ERALP.

Meanwhile, ASELSAN began to export the anti-drone system IHTAR to Northern Cyprus, Kyrgyzstan, Niger and Angola.

The anti-drone system aims to neutralize mini and micro UAV threats in urban and rural environments. It allows the protection of critical facilities, prevention of illegal border leaks, and safety of densely packed events.
