Turkey’s benchmark stock index opened at 1,180.49 points on Friday, a slight rise of 0.04% or 0.47 points from the previous close.

At the previous close, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was up 1.06% at 1,180.02 points, with a daily trading volume of 24.2 billion Turkish liras ($2.87 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate fell to 8.4490 as of 9:30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), versus 8.4510 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was down to 9.9860 from 9.9950, while one British pound traded for 11.1120 Turkish liras, up from 11.0950.
