Former Turkish parliament speaker tests positive for coronavirus

Former speaker of Turkish parliament Bülent Arınç announced on Thursday that he contracted the novel coronavirus.

HE AND HIS WIFE TESTED POSITIVE

Arınç said on Twitter that he and his wife Münevver Arınç tested positive for coronavirus.

They are in stable condition and the couple are in home isolation under a doctor’s supervision, he added.

Turkey has confirmed 284,943 coronavirus cases so far. A total of 6,837 people have lost their lives to the disease while 254,188 others have recovered, according to the latest data by the Health Ministry
