Most tourist arrivals to Antalya from Russia, Germany

Tourism hotspot remains attracted place for foreigners

Russia and Germany spearheaded sending tourists to the Turkish resort city of Antalya.

According to figures belonging to the period between January 1 and July 31 shared by the city’s Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, arrivals of foreign tourists to Antalya by air routes saw 8,184,089.

This figure in question is the best 7-month period of all time, according to the tourism body.

Sending the most tourist to Antalya, Russia ranks first with 1,853,879 visitors, while Germany comes second with 1,638,603 Germans visiting the tourism hotspot.

Other countries are Poland, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Romania, Israel, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine, from which people come to the city.

Antalya, which attracts tourists from all over the world, hosted 2,660,420 foreigners in July. An increase of 11% in the number of tourists was recorded compared to last year.

The Turkish resort is renowned for its wide beaches and long-term sunny weather with an average of 300 days of sunshine per year.
