Türkiye’s Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek held discussions with investors in New York.
During a conference hosted by Goldman Sachs, Şimşek delivered a presentation on Türkiye’s recently unveiled medium-term economic program.
The meeting spanned approximately one hour, during which inquiries concerning Türkiye’s economic prospects were addressed.
Şimşek highlighted the investment climate and possibilities within the country, underlining President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s unwavering commitment to policies aimed at combatting inflation.
He underscored that the implementation of a tighter monetary policy would play a significant role in reducing inflation.
“Türkiye continues to excite investors,” Şimşek said on his X account. “We have productive meetings with business people, fund managers and senior managers of credit rating agencies in New York.”
He also mentioned that he had the opportunity to address a substantial gathering of investors with an interest in Türkiye
He went on to say, “I came together at a round table meeting with the managers of the world’s leading funds and shared the goals of our economic program and the road map we will follow.”
President Erdoğan’s full support for the policies to control inflation is the most important factor that increases confidence, according to the minister.
He expressed his belief that these meetings would facilitate increased capital inflow into Türkiye.
