Cleverly’s route also includes Egypt and Qatar, two regional powers involved in the ongoing issue.

According to a statement from the UK Foreign Ministry, during his three-day visits to Türkiye, Egypt, and Qatar, Cleverly will address the spillover of Israel-Palestine conflicts into the region and explore potential peaceful solutions.

The statement highlighted the risk of conflicts spreading to a wider region and stated, “This visit has been planned for countries that are of vital importance for international efforts to maintain regional stability, release hostages, and allow humanitarian access to Gaza.”

In the statement, Minister Cleverly’s evaluations were included, in which he said, “Getting involved in this conflict is not in the interest of Israel, Palestine, or the broader Middle East. I will meet with my counterparts from effective countries in the region to work together to ensure stability, reduce tension, provide access to humanitarian aid to Gaza, and release hostages.”

The statement also noted that the UK has increased its humanitarian aid to Gaza, and it was reminded that Cleverly visited Israel last week.
