Türkiye eliminates senior PKK/YPG terrorist in Syria

Zulfiye Binbir, who played a role in channeling funds for the terrorist group, was categorized as 'green'

Türkiye’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT) conducted a cross-border operation in Syria, resulting in the neutralization of a senior PKK/YPG terrorist, according to security sources.

The operation took place in the Rumeylan oil field in northeast Hasakah.

The terrorist, known as Zulfiye Binbir with the codename Rojna, was eliminated, according to the sources who shared this information under the condition of anonymity due to media communication restrictions

Binbir was actively involved in funneling funds for the terrorist group and was categorized as ‘green’ on the Turkish Interior Ministry’s list of wanted terrorists.

This list uses color codes, with red indicating the most wanted, followed by blue, green, orange, and gray.

Binbir became associated with the PKK terror organization in 1993 and participated in numerous attacks against Turkish security forces.

Over its more than 35-year history of terror activities in Türkiye, the PKK, recognized as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the US, and the EU, has been responsible for the deaths of over 40,000 individuals, including women, children, and infants.
