Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan paid an official visit to the New Welfare (Yeniden Refah) Party’s headquarters in the capital Ankara before the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections on May 14.
The party’s leader Fatih Erbakan welcomed Erdogan and they shook hands in front of cameras.
Erbakan last week announced that they joined the People’s Alliance, which is formed by the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party, Grand Unity (BBP) Party, Nationalist Movement (MHP) Party in addition to the newly-attended New Welfare.
“We agreed on principles with the President and took such a step,” said Erbakan.
