Turkey’s benchmark stock index opened at 1,213.64 points on Thursday, up 0.18% or 2.13 points from the previous close.
BIST 100 INDEX EARNS AROUND 2.13 POINTS FROM PREVIOUS CLOSE
At Wednesday’s close, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was up 0.09% to 1,211.51 points, with a daily trading volume of 21.3 billion billion Turkish liras ($2.7 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate dropped to 7.8240 as of 9:30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), down from 7.8320 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also decreased to 9.2830 from 9.2940, while one British pound traded for 10.3090 Turkish liras, down from 10.3280.
