Turkey’s benchmark stock index opened at 1,200.38 points on Friday, increasing 0.17% or 2.06 points from the previous close.
BIST 100 INDEX EARNS 2.06 POINTS FROM PREVIOUS CLOSE
At the previous close, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was down 1.09% at 1,198.32 points with a daily trading volume of 25.18 billion Turkish liras ($3.22 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 7.9450 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), versus 7.9240 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also stood at 9.3730 from 9.3750, while one British pound traded for 10.3730 Turkish liras, down from 10.3950.
